This is a gorgeous 1938 Crosley Catalin radio G1465 is Maroon and Yellow. This model is also known as a "Split Grille" and is a great example of Art Deco design. This is a blue-chip Catalin radio that is rare and highly desirable. Dan Blake has professionally restored the cabinet and the repair can only be seen if you look inside the radio. The cabinet is free of all exterior defects. It has been cleaned and polished to a high gloss and is ready for display. The Catalin knobs and grillwork are original to the radio. The dial lens has been replaced.
Several of these G1465 have recently sold in perfect condition for $2,800 and $2,995. The price of this radio is almost 50% of these prices and the display quality is the same.
The radio measures 9"x 6"x 4" and weighs 3.0 lbs.
